For such a young child, the dosage would probably start at around 2 mg and then be increased, and it sounds like that has happened in your child's case. I would talk with your daughter's pdoc about next steps. Maybe an increased dose would help (if it's safe), or the doctor may want to try another or additional med. Thanks Daunna! I appreciate your input. This evening we realized that a lot of the recent difficulty is probably because we are trying to wean her off of buspar. The poor kid! I just emailed her doc and told him never mind about us asking for an increase in the abilify....that we need to do a slower wean off of buspar or even keep it in the mix. Thanks for responding!!
